Description
1.5C
Modeled after an extremely comfortable Bach Mt. Vernon 1 1/2C. This mouthpiece was designed to not “feel” quite as big. But it still is a good size piece. The rim is much more comfortable than most new big mouthpieces on the market today. It has a 27 hole and the back-bore is designed to give a full round dark sound. Even when pushed the sound quality stays the same. The idea was to have a mouthpiece that was very dark and round, and when pushed, had some brilliant qualities without being “edgy” or “nasal” in it’s nature. 1.5C: 0.6703 inner diameter measured at 0.030″ 0.1440 throat 27 drill 1.0743 outside diameter
3C
This mouthpiece was modeled after an early Elkhart model Bach 3C. The rim is very comfortable for hours of playing. The hole size, and back-bore are the same as the 1 1/2. The playing and sound characteristics are very similar to the 1 1/2, but with a slightly smaller inner-diameter.

5B
The 5B is loosely based on an early Elkhart Bach 6B. Many players playing a mouthpiece of this size switch back and forth between a small mouthpiece and a bigger one, so this piece was designed with them in mind. The cup is a little deeper than the 1 1/2 and the 3. It also has the same back-bore and hole size as the 1 1/2 and the 3 so it retains similar characteristics, but with a slightly more compact darker sound.

5.3C
The 5.3C has the same rim as my 5Z (Severinsen model). It has a 27 hole, and the standard classical back-bore. The major difference of my 5.3C model and other manufacturers, is that I incorporate the 3C cup in my 5.3C, giving it more body and the actual cup more overall volume for a big round sound. You still retain the benefit of the smaller rim size, but without giving up the sound of the bigger mouthpiece.

7.1B
This mouthpiece has a slightly flatter rim contour and is extremely comfortable. It was developed in my search for a good classical mouthpiece to use when I play symphony work. Quite a bit of my playing is done on a much smaller diameter with a different rim, so this mouthpiece facilitates that type of switch. It has a deep cup from a Bach 1B, but the rim inner diameter is closer to a 7. The cup is deeper than the 1 1/2 and the 3. It also has the same back-bore and hole size as the 1 1/2 and the 3 so it retains similar characteristics, but with a darker sound.

It has a deep cup from the PATRICK 3C, but the rim inner diameter is closer to a 7. It also has the same back-bore and hole size as the 1 1/2 and the 3 so it retains similar characteristics.

10.3C
The 10.3 C is our favorite combination in this rim diameter for a well-rounded classical mouthpiece. The 10.3C features our 10 rim diameter with the same cup shape found on our 3C. This mouthpiece is well suited for a player who prefers a smaller rim diameter, while looking for a classical cup shape. The 27 throat and classical back-bore match the rest of the classical line like the 1.5C, 3C, 5.3C and 7.3C.
10.5C
This mouthpiece is modeled after one of the first Bach New York 10 1/2 C’s ever made. (It was made sometime in the late 1920’s!) The hole size is a 27, and the back-bore is slightly brighter than the 1 1/2, 3, and 5.
It is extremely comfortable and does not feel very small. It makes a wonderful all around mouthpiece and also a great piccolo or Eb trumpet mouthpiece. It also lends itself for those switching back and forth from a smaller commercial mouthpiece.
Band directors – I HIGHLY recommend starting your young players on this mouthpiece. Because of the size and shape, it will help them to get a good sound right away and to not develop any bad habits from straining on a mouthpiece that is too big.

12C
This mouthpiece “feels” a good bit smaller than the LM-10.5C because of the high point being further in and having a wider outer diameter. It still has a good size C cup and is not like our commercial line. It’s a good mouthpiece for all around work for someone who just plays on a conventional shape mouthpiece with a smaller diameter. It shares the 27 hole and back-bore of the rest of our classical lineup.
12.3C
This mouthpiece uses the 12 rim with the cup shape of our 3C, giving the 12.3C more body and the actual cup more overall volume for a big round sound. You still retain the benefit of the smaller rim size, but without giving up the sound of the bigger mouthpiece. It shares the 27 hole and back-bore of the rest of our classical lineup.
